How much does it cost to unlock my Android tablet?

For Android tablets running Android 8–12, we charge a flat rate of $499.99 for consumer (personal/home) devices. Institutional devices — those managed by a school, corporation, or government agency under an MDM/EMM profile such as Samsung Knox, Jamf, or Microsoft Intune — are $2,299.99 flat. For Android 13 and above, iPad/iOS, and Amazon Fire devices, pricing is assessed after you submit your device details and confirmed before any work begins.

What counts as an 'institutional' device?

An institutional device is one that was enrolled in a Mobile Device Management (MDM) or Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) system by a school, employer, or government agency. Common examples include school-issued tablets locked with Jamf or Mosyle, corporate devices managed by Microsoft Intune or VMware Workspace ONE, and government-issued tablets under Samsung Knox. If you're unsure, select 'Consumer device' on the quote form and we'll confirm the classification before charging you.

Do I pay upfront or after the unlock?

Payment is collected after we confirm your quote and before work begins. For Android 8–12 devices, your price is shown instantly on the quote form. For all other devices, we'll send you a confirmed quote within 4–6 hours of receiving your submission. You only pay once you've agreed to the price.

What if you can't unlock my device?

Accepted Answer

You don't pay. Our 100% satisfaction guarantee means if we cannot successfully unlock your device, we will not charge you — and if your device was shipped to us, we'll return it at our expense.

How does the remote unlock work?

If your device can connect to Wi-Fi, we can often unlock it without you shipping it anywhere. You submit your device's serial number and MAC address through our form, ensure the device is powered on and connected to Wi-Fi, and our technicians apply the bypass remotely. Most remote unlocks are completed within 4–6 hours.

What if my device can't connect to Wi-Fi?

Use our physical service. Contact us and we'll provide a prepaid shipping label. Once we receive your device, our technicians assess and unlock it — typically within 24–48 hours — then ship it back to you with tracking.

What information do I need to provide?

For all services we need your device's make, model, serial number, and MAC address. You can find these in Settings → General → About on most devices. For the physical service, we'll also need your shipping address.

How long does the unlock take?

Remote unlocks are typically completed within 4–6 hours of submission. Physical unlocks are completed within 24–48 hours of us receiving your device. We'll notify you by email the moment your device is unlocked.

Will I lose my data during the unlock?

Accepted Answer

Our bypass methods are specifically designed to preserve your existing data wherever technically possible. We never perform a factory reset without your explicit consent. That said, some lock types — particularly deep MDM enrollments — may require a reset as a last resort. We will always inform you before taking any action that could affect your data.

Can you access my personal files?

No. Our technicians work at the system level to remove the lock — we do not access, copy, browse, or store any personal files, photos, messages, or documents on your device. All work is performed under strict confidentiality protocols.

Unlocking a device you own is legal in most jurisdictions. We work exclusively with device owners or authorized representatives. We do not assist with unlocking devices reported as stolen or devices where the requester cannot demonstrate ownership or authorization.
